Bryden Ka‘auwai (he plays with Daryl Miyasato and the Kauai High School band) is already excited about the first-ever (don’t remember any in recent history) Kauai High School homecoming (yes, it’s that time of the year, Keith Burgess, and congratulations to the Waimea Menehune on a great one!) parade that’s going to come up Thursday afternoon, starting at 5:30 p.m. at Kukui Grove Center.

Melissa McFerrin-Warrack is getting excited about all the Kauai High School clubs offering a bunch of family activities on the mall (watch out for the Red Tide of football players!) ahead of the parade that will start at the former Sports Authority parking lot and go pretty much around the shopping center.
In the meantime, Kane Casillas (he’s also in the band) is wondering about cross country races.
Mahalo, Arthur Brun, for letting us know we could enjoy Waimea’s homecoming (what happened to the program insert?) at Friday night football due to the efforts of County Attorney Maunakea Trask, county Director of Parks and Recreation Lenny Rapozo (he let Kelvin Moniz do white-hat duty), Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. and the Kauai County Council that allowed all to co-exist with those endangered seabirds, and the throng of County Council Chair Mel Rapozo and County Councilmember Derek Kawakami supporters (council candidate Luke Evslin was smart — he got the Kauai Community College location).
