LIHUE — The Kauai Interscholastic Federation season opening game is set for Friday night.
The games between Kauai and Waimea high schools will be at Vidinha Stadium. The junior varsity game is scheduled for 5 p.m. and the varsity will follow.
The football opener was originally scheduled for last Friday, but the Hawaii Department of Education postponed all high school activities including sporting events last week because of the threat of Hurricane Lane.
Other high school sports activities scheduled for this week are:
w Wednesday: KIF girls volleyball, Waimea at Kauai and Island School at Kapaa, 5 p.m.
w Wednesday: KIF air riflery, Kauai at Waimea, Island School at Kapaa, 3 p.m.
w Saturday: KIF girls volleyball, Kapaa at Kauai and Waimea at Island School, 5 p.m.
