The Hanalei Bridge was closed as of about 12:40 p.m. due to rising waters.
Kuhio Highway at Wainiha Bridge, mile marker 6.6, was closed due to flooding about 1:20 p.m.. Convoys to Wainiha and Haena have been halted until further notice.
Also due to flash flooding conditions, Kuhio Highway between Waikoko and Wainiha was closed at mile marker 5.3 about 12:30 p.m.
Officials are monitoring the highway and will provide updated information as it becomes available.
The state Department of Education announced that Hanalei Elementary School has closed.
A Flash Flood Warning means flash flooding is imminent or occurring in streams, roads and low-lying areas. Do not cross fast-flowing or rising water in your vehicle or on foot.
