Arnold Leong could have just rolled down the hill and camped overnight at Kapaa Beach Park since he had his crews from Lihue Lutheran Church and Lihue Missionary Church cranking out food — flying saucers at the Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital bon dance (great job, Josie Pablo and the Kauai Region crew!) Friday night, and pancakes and eggs Saturday at the Alzheimer’s Walk (kudos to Paula Schultz, Jasmine Yukimura and the Steering Committee!).

Dr. Kelly Robb of The Specific Chiropractic Center was also busy, juggling setting up the walk markers on Ke Ala Hele Makalae for the Alzheimer’s Walk, catching a quick 40 winks (Saeger makes a great pillow!), and then off to the Relay For Life North Shore, where she got to hang with folks from the state Department of Health.
And she was not the only one, because there were taiko drummers with Joyful Noise who did the bon dance, the Alzheimer’s Walk, the Relay For Life (Chef Jason Sessions and the Westin Princeville’s pho sho was a great pick-me-up!), and the B-Rad event (nope, sorry Dustin Stonner … had elections results to go to), too.
All that excitement means the Kauai County Farm Bureau Fair (Bill Spitz got the newest version of the cap) is almost here (it opens Thursday!) because the real Amber McClure was home with Moloaa Bay Coffee and Chocolate, and Kelly Gooding got to run away from setting up to catch his breath at the Kauai Community Market.
