This was the second year in a row that Cherie Yamamoto of Lihue brought her sons to Wilcox Medical Center’s Keiki Bike and Skateboard Safety Day. This year, Micah won a new bike and Kai won a new skateboard in drawings.

LIHUE — The parking lot behind Wilcox Medical Center was abuzz with excitement Saturday as kids of all ages were fitted with new bike helmets and safety gear to prevent injuries while riding bikes and skateboards.
