Please improve weekend bus service
The Kauai Bus needs to run at least every hour on weekends. I just took the Saturday line (Lihue to Hanalei) and it was over crowded. Riders not only standing, but sitting on the floor.
About 90 percent were workers who had to go to work in Princeville.
This is ridiculous the bus runs only every two hours on the weekend.
It is unfair to folks who depend upon the bus.
It also effects tourists who don’t rent a car.

Protect people at Wailua Falls
Although a great number of people find walking down the Wailua Falls exhilarating and fun, it is rather saddening that no one is there at the falls to stop and prevent people being killed or rescued. There is however, someone in a white van whose license plate number I am not disclosing taking and conducting tours to the falls.
And having told a number of the anxious people at many occasions of of the danger at the falls, I am constantly being told that what they do is none of my business, which is true. Signs are posted but not very visible and way out of sight, and fences and stone walls are installed, but the walk continues. They find ways to get to the bottom of the falls.
This is a serious and a grave matter and a big concern, and I feel that something or someone needs to enforce the tours conducted there and also stop other people finding ways going down from being killed. I believe there have been more retrievals than rescues done there. Let’s have our concerned leaders to look into this matter.

Ray…would you reveal that license number if it saved the life of someone you love?
Ray, the world is fraught with danger…stop fretting over it.

Ray: It’s a bummer that the falls are blocked off. It should be open, not closed. People who can’t make it down there shouldn’t go down. It’s slippery and super wet. The signs should just say go at your own risk, we won’t save you. LOL! Because of so many idiots, we can’t go down there anymore.
I like the insight on Ray’s letter. If the letter I just wrote is chosen, then you’ll know who “I saw a Vampire once” is. Tomorrow’s paper. LOL. Thanks a lot for the interesting letters to TGI. It’s fun to read all of it.
I guess.

The state or county whomever is in charge should make a safe path for everyone to use. Many years ago hiking down wasn’t really a big deal until a couple people got killed because the path wasn’t obvious enough. We’ve been denied Kipu falls so let’s make another place to go
