KALAHEO — The Lihue Warriors took both of its games, and the Hotshots dropped a pair Thursday night during the youth basketball summer league matches at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
Reimai Camacho scored 18 points and Emry Pituraachsatit added 12 points to lead the Ballers to a 49-25 win over the Hotshots in a fifth grade boys division match. Orion Magaoay topped the Hotshots’ effort with seven marks.
Christopher Alicante took the lead for the Hotshots in the second match, a seventh grade boys matchup, where Alicante scored 10 points.
But the effort fell short as the Hotshots dropped to the Warriors Volt, 67-22, behind the leading scoring effort of Syrus Delos Reyes dropping 23 points and Hekili Dizol adding 18 points.
The Warriors continued their winning ways in the finale, a fifth grade boys division contest, where Zyren Wade Padilla scored nine points and Kyren Bisarra added seven points to lead the Warriors to a 31-19 win over the Rebels, who got 10 points from Pono Sullivan.
