KAPAA — Kauai Special Olympics, including the quartet of athletes who performed remarkably during the recent USA games in Washington, will be hosting an andagi booth Friday and Saturday during the Kapaa Hongwanji Mission bon dance.
KAPAA — Kauai Special Olympics, including the quartet of athletes who performed remarkably during the recent USA games in Washington, will be hosting an andagi booth Friday and Saturday during the Kapaa Hongwanji Mission bon dance.
The booth is a fundraising for Kauai Special Olympics, from 5:30 each night.
The Rev. Mieko Majima will host a hatsubon, or first bon after passing, service at 6 p.m., followed by the opening at 7:15 p.m. before bon dancing and game booths get underway at 7:30 p.m.
The next bon dance on the Kauai Buddhist Council calendar will be at the Waimea Higashi Hongwanji Mission July 27 and 28.
