HONOLULU — Gubernatorial candidate Congresswoman Colleen Hanabusa reported campaign contributions of $1,043,061 in the first six months of 2018, while Gov. David Ige reported $733,922 for the same period.
Hanabusa’s figure represents contributions of 1,111 donors. Ninety-five percent of contributions were from individuals.
The Hanabusa for Governor campaign has raised a total of $1,775,006 from more than 1,400 donors since it was formed.
“While talking one-on-one with residents on Kauai, Maui, Lanai and Hawaii Island over the past week, I was touched to receive an overwhelmingly warm response, with many of our events reaching capacity,” Hanabusa said.
Ige’s campaign reported $688,227 of cash on hand. Total contributions raised in the current cycle from Nov. 5, 2014 to June 30, 2018 were $1,902,811.
“There is a definite swell of support as we continue our work for the benefit of the public interest and our state’s future. Voters appreciate our record of real achievements made in all areas including education, housing, homeless, economy, the environment, and more,” Ige said.
Its a known fact that Hanabusa once worked for Rail, that $10 billion dollar white elephant rip off project that she benefited from while all Hawaii taxpayers end up paying for it, even their children and grand children will be stuck with that bill. While other infratstructure like roads, sewer, water mains, bridges go un repaired including education.
Yeah I’m not surprised that she is in the pockets of the powerful and greedy ones who run and manipulate Hawaii’s politics for their own greed and profit. I wouldn’t vote for her even if they put a gun to my head!
