LIHUE — County officials announced that refuse collection services for residents affected by the April flood in the Wainiha and Ha‘ena area will continue through July 31.
The Solid Waste division will continue to provide the following services:
• Refuse collection services will continue on Sundays. Refuse collectors will accept bagged trash as well as trash in carts set at the county right of way in front of all households.
• A solid waste staging area at Kepuhi Point will be open to residents and businesses for drop-off of source-separated waste, including bulky items, green waste, tires, metals, white goods, and propane tanks.
