KOLOA — The public is advised that Maluhia Road, from Kaumualii Highway to Ala Kino‘iki Road junction, will be closed on Saturday, July 14, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a community cleanup.
During the road closure, traffic will be diverted to Piko, Oma‘o, and KOloa roads. Motorists should allow for extra travel time and follow the speed limits and all traffic signs.
The road closure will allow community groups to conduct their annual cleanup, “Gateway to the South Shore,” in preparation for the Koloa Plantation Days. In addition, the County of Kauai Roads Division will be present for roadside maintenance work.
The Tree Tunnel beautification project is spearheaded by the Po‘ipu Beach Resort Association and community organizations.
Anyone who would like to participate in the cleanup can call PBRA at 742-7444.
