The 11th annual Moonlight and Music fundraiser benefitting National Tropical Botanical Garden rocks the south shore again on Saturday, July 21 2018 from 6 to 10 p.m. This year’s event features dinner, drinks, and dancing in NTBG’s McBryde Garden to the lively tunes of Kauai dance band The Quake.
“Moonlight & Music is Kauai’s premier gala event and supports the critical plant conservation, research and education efforts of National Tropical Botanical Garden,” said Chipper Wichman, NTBG president, CEO and director. “Our donors, members, visitors, volunteers and supporters are the lifeblood of our organization and we’re delighted to have the opportunity year after year to come together, have fun and fundraise for plant conservation efforts that make a difference in Hawai’i, Florida, and tropical regions around the world.”
In addition to enjoying dinner, cocktails and dancing in one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the world, Moonlight & Music will also feature a silent auction with items and activities you won’t find anywhere else including: a two-night ocean view stay at the St. Regis in Princeville, four-rounds of golf and lunch at Kukui‘ula, and Kate Spade & Lily Pulitzer tropical themed handbags. Attendees can also bid on very special Ni‘ihau shell jewelry, hand-stitched Hawaiian quilts, and a private garden tour and brunch withWichman as well as many other items.
As in previous years guests will be transported into McBryde Garden via shuttle from the South Shore Visitors Center in Poipu on a historic sugar cane train route with spectacular views of the Lawa‘i Bay and Allerton Garden. Guests will arrive in the valley draped with tropical trees, native Hawaiian flora, palms, orchids and exotic plants.
Tickets are $175 per person and tables of 10 are offered at various levels:

w Koa Tables are $5,000 per table of 10, with preferred seating. Koa tables also receive five VIP parking passes; champagne reception from 5:00-6:00 p.m. for you and your table guests; beverage service for your table; 10 individual guided tour passes; host’s name on the table; listing in the evening’s program and one Sustaining level Garden membership ($250) for you or your selected guest.
w Ohia Tables are $2,500 per table of 10, with preferred seating. Ohia Tables also receive three VIP parking passes; host’s name on the table; listing in the evening’s program, and one Sustaining level Garden membership ($250) for you or your selected guest. A special bonus for early purchasers! Tables purchased on or before June 30, 2018, are invited to the champagne reception from 5:00-6:00 p.m. for you and your table guests.
