Joellen Hartman
Joellen Hartman, 67, of Omao, passed away on June 20, 2018, at Wilcox Medical Center.
Born on Nov. 19, 1950, in California, she was a retired school teacher at Kauai High School.
She is survived by son Jonathan Kindig of California, daughter Angela (Bradley) MaPherson of Australia, and two grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 29, at 3 p.m. at Poipu Beach Park, in the right-hand-side pavilion.
The family suggests casual attire.
Borthwick Kauai Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Dylan Tekau LaFave
Dylan Tekau LaFave, 13, of Princeville, passed away on June 13, 2018. He was born in Honolulu on Aug. 18, 2004, and was a student at Kapaa Middle School.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Leo and Nancy LaFave and maternal grandparents Florencio and Rina Delong.
He is survived by father and stepmother, James (Monica) LaFave, mother Marie Delong, sisters Kaia LaFave and Ajae Baldomero, and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 3, at St. Sylvester Church in Kilauea, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 11 a.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Sam Tobey
A potluck celebration of life for Sam Tobey will be held on Wednesday, July 11, from 5 to 10 p.m. at Salt Pond Beach Park in pavilion 3 (furthermost west).
The family would appreciate flower lei. Guitars, ukulele and voices are welcome.
