It’s a good thing Sean Smith of San Jose, California, came to Kauai to judge cars, said Harvey Maeda of Kauai Classic Cars. Sean (he’s the grandson of Liz Kerns of Reno, Nevada) hatches and sells snake eggs (he should’ve gone to see Mark Bonilla of Jamba Juice so they could talk about hatching eggs). Kudos to Al Oppio of Sparks, Nevada, who brought over trophies so they could, for the first time, judge cars at the Father’s Day car show presented by Kauai Classic Cars and Kukui Grove Center (they were hopping at Deja Vu, and Melissa McFerrin-Warrack said if you went inside Macy’s, there was a whole bunch of father pampering going on).

Robert Medeiros of Kukuiolono Golf Course said he’s seen chickens on the putting green before, but nothing like the collection of feathered fowl and finned creatures led by Evelyn Roth (that inflatable volcano is awesome!), Katie Mae and Mark Jeffers during the special Father’s Day outing at Kuks Mini Golf (they’re still working on a nice horse cart, and it’s a good thing we got to welcome Master Sgt. Joe Desiaureiers and his family, or Donna Fujiwara would’ve missed the Kuks event).
Donna was enjoying the pocket of shade (they got a lot of it at Kukuiolono) with Santa (he even had it on his pickup license plates) who was doing disc golf with Wilson Kauakahi, who discovered a world of fun (with his kids!) outside of work, and three generations of Ryan Jacobsmeyer’s ohana, who normally do the Weliweli Park course.
Happy belated Father’s Day to all!
