Bert William Kawaguchi
Bert William Kawaguchi, 59, of Eleele, passed away at home on April 29, 2018. He was born in Lihue on June 21, 1958, and was a chef.
He was preceded in death by parents Arthur and Hisayo Kawaguchi, and brother Thomas Kawaguchi.
He is survived by brothers Warren (JoAnn) Kawaguchi of Eleele and Earl (Linda) Kawaguchi of Oahu, sister Sharon (Wayne) Uyehara of Oahu, and one niece and one nephew.
Private inurnment services were held at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Christino Agotip Navarro
Christino Agotip Navarro, 90, of Lihue, passed away at Garden Isle Health Care on May 29, 2018. He was born in Lihue on April 15, 1928, and retired from Lihue Plantation Co.
He was preceded in death by wife Pikake Navarro.
He is survived by son Ivan Navarro, daughters Christie Glendon, Sandy (Kurt) Oshiro and Renee (Robert) Navarro, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 23, at Hukilau Lanai restaurant at the Kauai Coast Resort, 520 Aleka Loop, Kapaa, with visitation from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Lihue Cemetery.

La Paz Villanueva Francisco
La Paz Villanueva Francisco of Hanapepe passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on May 3, 2018, at the age of 96.
She was preceded in death by husband Marcelino Mercado Francisco, son Dale Francisco, father Teodocio Villanueva, mother Margarita Madamba, and sisters Maria Pilorin and Josephine Domingo.
She is survived by daughter Erlinda (James) Hazelrigg, sons Camilo and Mario Francisco, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, sisiter Caridad Palomares, brother Edward (Penny) Madamba, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, June 17, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary chapel in Koloa from 9 a.m., where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow at 1 p.m. at Kauai Memorial Gardens. The family suggests casual attire.
