Donnie Dee Libre of Hanapepe, a retired heavy equipment operator, has passed away.
He was born in Kaumakani.
He is survived by wife Yolande Pantohan Libre, sons Isaac (Reyna Banasihan) Libre of Waimea, Abel (Kimberly Scott) Libre of Seaside, Oregon, and Jonah (Danae Esias) Libre of Aiea, Oahu, brothers Lydell Felix (Yvonne) Libre of Kailua-Kona and Floyd Lyle (Peggy Robley) Libre of Hanapepe, sisters Rhoda (Michael Hayton) Libre of Puhi and Suzette Libre Scherich of California, mother Fely (Igne Libre) Faulkner, stepfather Dr. Gerry Faulkner, grandchildren Kaleb Libre, Alohilani Libre, Kairey Banasihan, Zariah Libre, Brayden Libre, Nixon Kaimanaalohaokalani Libre, Maddox Kameahookeleokekai Libre, caregiver, nieces Krystal Libre and Brittany Libre.
He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by father Felix Dong Libre and sister Vida Libre Simmons.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 15 at St. Theresa Church in Kekaha from 9 to 10 a.m., after which Mass shall follow. The family suggests casual attire. Burial will follow on Monday, June 17, at Kekaha Public Cemetery.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Maqsood Mohammed Ali
Maqsood Mohammed Ali, 74, of Kalaheo, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on May 30, 2018. He was born in Sylhet, Bangladesh, on Jan. 1, 1944, and retired as the chief financial officer with Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industry.
He is survived by wife Lutfun “Lulu” Nahar Maqsood, sons Javed (Chris) Maksood and Rashed (Mariam) Maksood, daughter Homayra (Saiful Bari) Fahmida, and sisters Rabeya, Jamila, Sajna and Khushu.
A private burial was held at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Alfredo Espiritu

Alfredo Espiritu, 88, of Hanamaulu, passed away at home on May 31, 2018. He was born in Hanamaulu on March 21, 1930. A veteran of the Hawaii Army National Guard, he retired as a supervisor with Lihue Plantation Co.
He was preceded in death by parents Juan and Victoriana Espiritu and son Gerald Espiritu, and siblings Hilda U‘u, William Espiritu and Ben Espiritu.
He is survived by wife Flora Espiritu, sons Wilfred Espiritu and Timothy (Robin) Espiritu, daughter Cynthia (Maurice) Gushiken, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sisters Fely Fernando and Laura Bargas, brothers John Espiritu and Ernest Espiritu, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held privately at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.
