PRINCEVILLE — The Hanalei Reign, a 3.5 women’s division tennis team, captured the 2018 USTA 40 and Over Section Championship during the section championship matches contested at the Central Oahu Regional Park that wrapped up May 26.
PRINCEVILLE — The Hanalei Reign, a 3.5 women’s division tennis team, captured the 2018 USTA 40 and Over Section Championship during the section championship matches contested at the Central Oahu Regional Park that wrapped up May 26.
During the climb to the 3.5 women’s division, the Reign went up against teams from East Hawaii, Maui, Oahu, and West Hawaii to prevail.
With the division title, the Hanalei Reign advances to compete at the national tournament that will contest in Las Vegas, Nevada later this year.
Led by team co-captains Carla LaFratta and Sonja Moffat, the Hanalei Reign includes CeeCee Simmons, Brit Cooper, Maria Whatmore, Mary Lockrem, Roni Marley, Kazumi Schaub, and Kathy Ward.
