Happy birthday to Cheryl Jackson of Michigan who got Lt. Bill and Stan Robert to do the birthday song even if Cheryl’s birthday is not until August.
Kudos to kumu hula Kapu Kinimaka-Alquza and her ohana on hosting a great hoike preview at Kukui Grove Center. It was a great way to end classes, and definitely chicken-skin — especially with all those plumeria lei.
More kudos to Lori Naone (ask her about how much sunscreen you need!) who brought her boss Robin Low of Kaiser Permanente to the Kauai Chamber of Commerce Governor’s Luncheon at Koloa Landing Resort (Dickie Chang got the gov to have a picture with boxing champ Brian Viloria).
Lori said she’s even running this year’s Kauai Marathon! How about the Mayor-a-thon coming up June 23? It’s Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr.’s last one after 10 years.
