Castora ‘Casey’ Guillermo Suero
Castora “Casey” Guillermo Suero, 96, of Lihue, passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 14, 2018. She was born in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on March 29, 1922, and retired as a Butcher with Yoneji Store. She was an active member of the Lihue Senior Center and an avid crocheter making beanies and blankets for friends and family.
Preceded in death by her husband, Catalino Suero; daughter, Andrita Perreira; son, Catalino Suero II; sister, Nancy Corpuz; brother, Nicanor Guillermo.
Casey is survived by four children, Carmencita (Aurilio) Padilla, Kathleen (Ronald) Aceret, Catalino “Tino” (Carol Joslin) Suero III, Charlmaine (Adams) Bulosan; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Clyde Kazuo Tasaka
Clyde Kazuo Tasaka, 81 years old, of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away on May 12, 2018, at his home in Kapaa. Born on Nov. 30, 1936, in Kilauea, Kauai, he was a retired School Teacher and Counselor with Kapaa High School and served in the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Tasaka; parents, Kenichi and Asayo Tasaka; brother, Vernon Tasaka; parents-in-law, Asaichi and Isano Yasuda and brother-in-law, Wilfred Yasuda.
He is survived by his daughter, Toni (Pancho) Tasaka-Alapai of Wailua Houselots; grandson and best friend, Jai Kazuo Aukake Alapai; 3 step-grandchildren, Maka’ai Kahealani, Shea-Nainoa Alapai; 2 sisters, Winona (Tom) Yoshida of Oahu, Gladys “Shinae” Tasaka of Hanalei; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawai from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Services will be at 11 a.m.
Casual attire suggested. No flowers.

Consolita B. Agbulos
Consolita B. Agbulos, 90 years old, of Kekaha, Kauai, passed away on April 7, 2018, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital. Born on Sept. 3, 1927, in Vigan Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was a housewife.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Aurellano A. Agbulos; father, Paulo Bautista; mother, Florencia Catura Bautista; son-in-law, Mark Maruyama.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Avelina Maruyama of Kekaha, Doris Agbulos of Kekaha, Nely (Danillo) Caberto of Kekaha; 3 grandchildren, Telissa (Kekoa Woo) Agbulos, Nekicia Maruyama, Keane Caberto; 3 great-grandchildren, Jordyn Maruyama-Chang Wo, Mahina Woo, Tykei Chang Wo; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friend may visit with the family on May 26, 2018, at St. Theresa’s Church in Kekaha from 9 to 10:45 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. There will be a burial to follow at Kekaha public cemetery.

Gwendolyn Mae Taeza
Gwendolyn Mae Taeza, 77 years old, of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away on May 16, 2018, at her home in Kapaa. Born on April 27, 1941, in Honolulu, Hawaii, she retired as a Preschool Teacher at Stepping Stones School and also as a Sales Associate and Seamstress for Pono Cleaners.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Matthew (Lani) Taeza of Waimea, Kauai, Mark Taeza of Maui, John Taeza, Jr. of Virginia; 1 daughter, Holly (Sam) Moises of Kapaa; 11 grandchildren, Ronessa Alisna, Peter Alisna, Tyrus Moises, Bailee Taeza, Matthew K. Taeza, Jessica Taeza, Jazzerie Taeza, Tristan Taeza, Selah Taeza, Shazlyn Taeza, Bryson Taeza; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; Leroy Santos Sr. of Wailua, David Santos, Jr. of Lihue; 2 sisters; Margaret Villatora of Kapaa, Barbara Ventura of Kapaa and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at St. Catherine’s Church in Kapaa from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., with internment to follow at the St. Catherine’s Church Cemetery.
