Please provide a brief update on the Creative Technology Center.
The county continues its partnership with the Kauai Economic Development Board (KEDB) toward the creation of a Creative Technology Center. KEDB is still assessing the best path to house and support creative industry professionals on Kauai. In the meantime, on-going programming, training, workshops and progressive venues in creative technology will be a priority for the upcoming year.
Please provide an update on the installation of CastinTact safety pads on Jerves and Poinciana streets. The last update received in October 2017, was that the mats would be installed by the end of December 2017.
Unfortunately, the CastinTact vendor that the county was working with is no longer doing business in Hawaii, so we have placed an order to replace the existing style of mats, which will be on island in June and installed this summer.
