Kudos to Denise Roberts, Chantal Zarbaugh, Lexi Jones (Ron said she’s an APA, but not — she’s the weekend DJ) and the KQNG crew for doing such a fine job collaborating with Mark Perriello, Carol Manera Texeira (she was at the Wednesday Kauai Interscholastic Federation baseball game) and Anna Baudouin of the chamber, where around 200 people attended.
The Kauai High School jump pit crew said they were under-rated, but no! They were pretty much on the money, making sure there was no crown for the long and triple jumpers! Kudos to Kelii Morgado and Greg Gonsalves for pulling together the KIF track and field championships (how did they get Pat Viernes to come out of retirement to do the starter duties — with a gun that sounds, no less?).
OK, off to go check on the Sheraton Shoreline Fishing contest to benefit the Visitor Industry Charity Walk, and also see if Kade Kikuchi is on his golf game at the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association 14 Under Junior Tour Series – Kauai!
