LIHUE — The Kauai Board of Water Supply announced the appointment of Bryan Wienand as manager and chief engineer of the county Department of Water, effective May 1.
LIHUE — The Kauai Board of Water Supply announced the appointment of Bryan Wienand as manager and chief engineer of the county Department of Water, effective May 1.
Wienand has been with DOW since 2015 and currently serves as deputy manager. He will lead DOW’s 88 employees within its seven divisions and oversee operations of the county’s nine water systems currently servicing over 21,000 service connections, island wide.
“We have great confidence in Mr. Wienand’s leadership capabilities to maintain high performing operations and professional services at the Department of Water,” said Beth Tokioka, KBWS chairperson.
Mr. Wienand brings more than ten years of professional experience in civil engineering. He has received multiple service awards throughout his career and was most recently the recipient of DOW’s 2017 Employee of the Year award.
“I am extremely grateful and humbled by the opportunity to serve the people of Kauai, the Board of Water Supply, and the Department of Water in this role,” said Wienand.
