The new team members include Fernando Martin, director of operations of the Landscape Maintenance Department; Derek Trapp, business development; and Michele Duey, landscape project manager.
“We are so pleased to have this caliber of people join us,” said Abby Santos, managing member of No Ka Oi Landscape Services. “Fernando, Derek, and Michele have a breadth of experience and skills that serve our clients well.”
Martin oversees all operational activities at the company. He was the former vice president of Hort Tech Landscape Inc. and has more than 18 years of experience in the industry on landscape maintenance and construction projects.
Trapp is responsible for sales and public relations. He was a licensed Realtor for 17 years and worked with selected buyers and sellers on Kauai. He started his own landscape company in 1999, which he operated until 2015.
Duey supervises plant growth, propagation, and the maintenance of No Ka Oi Landscape Services’s current projects. She deals with the procurement of plants for grow-out; maintaining and improving the Integrated Pest and Disease Management Program; and keeping records of growing times by variety throughout the year.
No Ka Oi Landscape Services employs more than 63 team members.
