A girls 6P game and a pair of boys basketball games opened the Extreme Basketball season on Tuesday night at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
Katelyn Constantino poured in 13 points, and Hailey Mata added seven points to lead the Westside Blue to a 28-22 edge over Kaulupono during the girls 6P matchup that opened the evening of three games. Kiaura Ortiz-Rita led the Kaulupono effort with eight points.
During the second match, a 7P Boys matchup, Garrett Hadley and Kaiden Vegas each netted 10 points to lead the Papalina-White tpo a 42-7 romp over the Isle Hoops who got five marks from Lucas Summerhays.
Jai Duarte scored 11 points and Matt Estrada added eight points to lead the Rebels, an 8P Boys team, to a 40-4 win over Papalina Orange who got a pair each from Jackson Cormack and Dante Morel.
Games in the Extreme Basketball league are played on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
Saturday’s matches will see the 2P Girls Kaulup0no taking on the Kauai Lynx, followed by the 3P Boys Warriors Blue taking on Papalina White. The final game, Saturday will feature the 4P Boys Warriors Volt going up against Papalina Orange.
