Enterprise Rent-A-Car got a break Saturday when the Koloa Landing crew was not able to make the annual Charity Walk Bowling event.
Instead of having empty lanes, Enterprise Rent-A-Car sent a crew of bowlers to fill in at the sold-out event that adds funds to the Visitor Industry Charity Walk presented by the Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association, Kauai Chapter on May 12 at a new gathering place — the North Vidinha soccer fields.
Christina Gabriel, the walk’s co-chair, said this year, the HLTA wants more participation and engagement from the nonprofit organizations that benefit from the walk. This was demonstrated by the appearances of representatives from Hale ‘Opio, Friendship House and Girl Scouts.
Next on the calendar is the new Flavors of Kukuiula on April 28, where patrons can enjoy street food, entertainment and a silent auction to benefit the annual Charity Walk.
