A Secret Service vehicle was stolen from a service center in Arlington, Va., on Monday, officials told the New York Daily News on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the agency said that “there was no equipment in the stolen vehicle that compromises the Secret Service mission.”
The Washington Field Office is working with the Arlington Police Department as they try to locate the vehicle.
NBC 4 investigative reporter Scott MacFarlane first broke the news of the high-profile larceny.
Last year, a laptop containing floor plans for Trump Tower and other information was stolen from a Secret Service agent’s car while it was parked in her Brooklyn driveway.
“Some of these cases are never solved,” MacFarlane noted in a tweet. “FBI has not yet recovered tactical gear stolen from agent’s car near Washington DC field office in July 2016.”
