Paula E. Pope
Paula E. Pope of Waimea passed away at Bellevue, Washington, on March 20, 2018, at the age of 73. She was born in New York on June 17, 1945.
She is survived by husband Leonard Pope, children Joseph Hernandez, Marty Melo, Antonio Pope and Maile Carroll, and sister Estellita Rainwater August.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 6, at Salt Pond Beach Park large pavilion from 2 to 6 p.m.
Soichi ‘Boy’ Kaneshiro
Soichi “Boy” Kaneshiro, 84, of Kapaa, passed away at his home in Kapaa.
Born on Jan. 18, 1934 on Kauai, he was a retired fisherman and owner of the Last Kukui Bar.
He was preceded in death by wife Alice “Jackie” Ignacio Kaneshiro, parents Kamakichi and Ushi Kaneshiro, and his siblings.
He is survived by children Seagram Flores, Rodney Flores, Crystal Chow, Ramond Chow, Cash Chow Lopez, Jeri-Ann Madrid, Loreta Lita Buccat and Sheila McFadden, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Private services were held.
Borthwick Kauai Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Doris Mitsuko Koga
Doris Mitsuko Koga, 94, passed away on March 18, 2018, in Gresham, Oregon.
Born on Jan. 26, 1926 in Lihue, she was a retired taro farmer owner in Hanalei.
She is survived by her sons Lincoln (Lorinda) Koga and Gary (Masako) Koga, 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, sister Bernice Tanga and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 13, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Hanalei Ward from 10 to 10:45 a.m., where services will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Hanalei Community Cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire.

Kimie Hiraoka
Kimie Hiraoka, 95, of Waimea, passed away on March 27, 2018, at Wilcox Medical Center.
Born on Sept. 14, 1922, in Koloa, she was a retired registered nurse with Waimea Dispensary.
She was preceded in death by husband Tamo Hiraoka.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held at a later date.
The family requests no koden (monetary gifts).

William Kaneakua
William Kaneakua, 83, of Lihue, passed away on March 26, 2018, at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Kauai on March 25, 1935.
He was preceded in death by parents James and Louise Kaneakua, sister Eloise Oclit, brother Henry Kaneakua and son Scott Kaneakua.
He is survived by wife Anita Bonilla Kaneakua, sons Tai (Courtney) Kaneakua, Kahana Kaneakua and Kaulana (Penny) Kaneakua, sisters Pauline Wise and Elma (Lani) Kaneakua, brother James Keoua (Beverly) Kaneakua, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, April 21, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary chapel in Koloa from 9 to 10:45 a.m., where services will be celebrated at 11 a.m.

Victoria Alfonso Levoit, 94, of Kapaa, passed away on March 25, 2018, at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital.
She was born on April 14, 1923, in Honolulu.
She was preceded in death by parents Vidal and Magdalena Alfonso, husband Conrado D. Levoit Sr., and son Timoreo A. Levoit.
She is survived by children Conrado (Lolita) D. Levoit Jr., Alberto A. Levoit, Crispulo A. Levoit, Luciana (Stanley) L. Vasques, Victor A. Levoit, Francis A. Levoit, Rosalinda A. Levoit and Roberto (Hannelore) A. Levoit, 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 27, at St. Catherine Church from 11:30 to 11:45 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at noon. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Church Cemetery.
