Fumiko H. Sadanaga
Fumiko H. Sadanaga of Kilauea passed away at home on Feb. 19, 2018, at the age of 95. She was born in Makaweli on May 14, 1922, and retired as a part-time postal clerk at Kilauea.
She was preceded in death by husband Eichi Sadanaga, grandson Davin Goo, parents Totaro and Hana Horikawa, brother Toichi Horikawa and sister-in-law Noriko Horikawa.
She is survived by son Ken Sadanaga, daughters Arlene (Minoru) Ota and Karen Goo, grandchildren Kent Sadanaga, LaReina Nebre, LaRisa (Chandler “Atta” Forrest) Nebre, Darren Ota and Carrie (Leighton) Kato, great-grandchildren Reidon Rathbone, Zoie Rathbone, Kiyomi Forest and Kimiko Forest, brother Noboru (Elsie) Horikawa, sister-in-law Violet Sueko Hamada, and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 24, at Kapaa Hongwanji, with visitation from noon and services beginning at 1 p.m. Inurnment will be a private service at Kauai Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Paul Seisuke Iwata Jr.
Paul Seisuke Iwata Jr. of Hanapepe passed away at Hale Kapuna Heritage Home on March 12, 2018, at the age of 76.
He was born in Waimea on July 23, 1941, and was a tour bus driver with Trans Hawaiian Tours.
He was preceded in death by parents Paul and Emily Iwata Sr., and sister Lorna Iwata.
He is survived by sons Jason (Jolly) Iwata and Duane Iwata, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister Alma (David) Silver, and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at a later date.
