LIHUE — Kauai Lynx Basketball is hosting a basketball camp on Sunday and Monday at the Kauai High School gym.
The Group I camp is geared for athletes beginning to intermediate skill levels in fifth through seventh grades and will consist of two-hour training sessions. Camp meets Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. and on Monday from 9 to 11 a.m.
The Group II camp is more advanced for athletes in the eighth grade through high school. This camp starts Sunday from 2:15 to 4:15 p.m. and on Monday from 11:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
“We still have a few spots for this camp in both groups,” said Coach Clarence Sales of Kauai Lynx Basketball.
The camps are led by Coach Matthew Conboy who is the lead scout and skills development director for the National Basketball Association and the Womens National Basketball Association.
Conboy has worked with more than 1,000 of the top collegiate and now professional basketball players.
