Allen T. Nonaka
Allen T. Nonaka, 74, of Hanapepe, passed away on Feb. 19, 2018, at Wilcox Medical Center.
Born on Nov. 18, 1943, in Hanapepe, he was a heavy equipment operator for Aina Construction.
He was preceded in death by parents Takao and Chiyoko Nonaka, brother Edward Nonaka, (Ethel) sister-in-law, and brother-in-law Charles Yoshioka.
He is survived by wife Nancy Nagao Nonaka of Hanapepe, sons Leroy Nonaka of Hanapepe and Wendall (Darla) Nonaka of Hanapepe, hanai daughter Michal Nakashima of Hanapepe, grandchildren Keith, Kasey, Hailey and Mikah Nonaka, brothers Alvis (Vivian) Nonaka of Makaweli, Bert (Wendy) Nishida of Eleele, Harry (Charlene) Nonaka of Honolulu and Clifford (Lynthia) of Kekaha, sisters Irene Yoshioka of Hanamaulu, Lynda (Bernard) Makanui of Lawai, Amy (Roy) Sunada of Hanapepe and Janice (Minato) Akiyama of Puhi, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 17, at Kauai Soto Zen Shuji in Hanapepe from 1 to 3:45 p.m., where services will be celebrated at 4 p.m.
The family suggests casual attire.

Tsutomu Kojiri
Tsutomu Kojiri, 89, of Makaweli, passed away on Jan. 30, 2018, in Waimea.
Born on May 7, 1928 in Waimea, he was a retired office manager and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by parents Keataro and Ishi Kojiri, brothers Satoru, Yoshimori and Noriyaki Kojiri, sister Tomie Takahashi, and granddaughter Leialoha Nakaahiki.
He is survived by wife Elaine Kojiri of Makaweli, son Clifford Koriji of Makaweli, daughter Christine (Lambert) Nakaahiki of Waimea, grandchild Kellen Nakaahiki, great-grandchildren Peyton and Kiyomi Nakaahiki, brother Masami Kojiri of Hanapepe, sister Michie Iwasaki of Hanapepe, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Louis Parraga Jr.
Louis Parraga Jr. of Kekaha passed away on Feb. 28, 2018, at the age of 90 at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital.
Born in Kalaheo on Oct. 31, 1927, he was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for Kekaha Sugar Company and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by parents Louis and Mary Parraga Sr., wife Margaret Anna Koerte Parraga, and son Wayne Steven Parraga.
He is survived by son Franklin Louis Parraga of Kekaha, daughter Penny May (Marvin) Parraga-Fujinaka of Kapaa, brother Joe Parraga of Arizona, grandchildren Waynette (Jeff) Parraga, Tina (Greg) Parraga-Alejandro, Waye Kai (Kawai) Parraga, Vanaessa Parraga and Mallory (Brian) Rodriquez, hanai grandchildren Sarah, Joshua, David and Nicole, great-grandchildren Keegan, Makana, Italee, Kaleko, Keaka, Ka‘ihi, Kalai and Jackson, and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit the family on Friday, March 23, at Lihue Lutheran Church, with visitation at 9:30 a.m. and service at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow at Lihue Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
