LIHUE — Several headliners will appear at Monday’s E Kanikapila Kakou session at the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort in the Jasmine Ballroom, most of them with ukulele in hand.
LIHUE — Several headliners will appear at Monday’s E Kanikapila Kakou session at the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort in the Jasmine Ballroom, most of them with ukulele in hand.
Herb Ohta Jr. and Bryan Tolentino will host an evening with the Kamaka Ukulele family and share the family’s lifelong dedication to creating their famous ukulele creations.
EKK will open with members of the Kamaka Ukulele family presenting a video and talk story at 6 p.m.
From 7 to 9 p.m., Ohta, Tolentino and members of the Kamaka Family will take to the stage for music and more talk story.
EKK is a program of the nonprofit Garden Island Arts Council that for over 40 years has been bringing arts to the people and people to the arts.
For 10 Monday nights each year, musicians from Hawaii bring their aloha
and share their musical heritage.
Admission is a donation at the door; $10 suggested.
