Ashlei Thompson (she’s one of the first girl Boy Scouts from Cub Pack 148!) wanted to go to Princess Day (kudos to Jeanette Huttger and all those Salon J ‘ohana on a sold-out fifth event!), but brother Kamekona (the Walmart cart clerk said Kamekona was a “super salesman) had ukulele practice with Mary Lardizabal because the Kapaa Middle School Choir and Ukulele Band is getting ready to leave for the Heritage Music Festival in Anaheim, California.

Ashlei was among the scouts (Teresa Caires had her Girl Scout Troop 823 selling Girl Scout cookies) selling Boy Scout Makahiki (it’s coming up, April 7!) tickets at Walmart Sunday where Kenny Ishii from the Ono Family Restaurant stopped by to talk story.
Disney-inspired Belle made a guest appearance at Princess Day, and Brenda Biehler of Showtime Characters said they’ll have more, Saturday at “Read Across America” at Kukui Grove where Elyse Litvack said there will be an Usborne Books &More book sale to benefit Kumu’s Cupboard … maybe Rocky Pascua might be at the new Ainofea space, too?
Kudos to Kaulana Finn, Nicole Cowan, Dennis Brown and all those Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kauai on a great circus-themed bowling event where they met their fundraising goal! Now, when is the Charity Walk bowl?
