LIHUE — Kauai Island Utility Cooperative has scheduled an outage that will affect all of Hanalei and Princeville on Friday from 2 to 5 a.m.
Crews will also close the Princeville-bound lane of Kuhio Highway in the vicinity of mile marker 1 in Hanalei from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., while they transfer the existing transmission lines to a new transmission pole.
Once the work is completed, crews will reopen the road and restore power to the affected areas.
