Eddie Lopez Jr.
Eddie Lopez Jr. of Kapahi passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on Feb. 15, 2018, at the age of 57. He was born in Texas on Feb. 26, 1960, and was a well-known musician.
He was preceded in death by sister Tammy Lopez.
He is survived by wife Lewella Lopez, daughters Dainastra (Randy) Lopez, Carly (Kahiku) Lopez and Makena Gorman, sons Job (Felicia) Lopez and Calvin Lopez, parents, Eddie and Lucille Lopez, brother Garry (Patricia) Lopez, sisters Delia (Bruce) Lopez and Bridget Lopez, 11 grandchildren, and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 3, at Kapaa Missionary Church, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. and services beginning at 11 a.m. A gathering will be held at Kealia Beach Park after the services.
Kauai Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Kikuyo Tanita
Kikuyo Tanita, 98, passed away on Dec. 9, 2017.
Born on Sept. 9, 1919, in Hawaii, she was a retired homemaker.
She was preceded in death by husband Satoru Tanita and Fred Tanita.
She is survived by sons Warren (Nancy) Tanita of Honolulu and Clyde (Nadia) Tanita of Washington, daughter Sunnie Tanita of Kapolei, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sisters Fumie Murayama of Kalaheo, Dorothy Kunioka of Kapaa and Betty Hirose of Honolulu, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
