KEKAHA — The Kekaha Landfill stopped accepting commercial loads Sunday due to lightning. The paved public drop site at the landfill remained open.
The landfill will be reopened to commercial loads when it is deemed safe for access.
Additionally, the Hanapepe transfer station was not accepting green waste, scrap metals, appliances and tires on Sunday due to muddy conditions.
