Joe Riley Watson of Kapaa passed away in Wilcox Medical Center on Feb. 14, 2018, at the age of 87.
He was born in Arkansas on Oct. 18, 1930, and retired as an aerospace industrial engineer.
He is survived by wife Margaret “Peggy” Watson of Kapaa, sons Dave (Lori) Watson of California and Kenny Watson of Kapaa, one grandchild, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Elizabeth H. Camara
Elizabeth H. Camara of Kalaheo passed away on Feb. 18, 2018, at home. Born on March 24, 1921, in Wanfried, Germany, she was the baker for Waiohai and Poipu Beach hotels.
She was preceded in death by parents Jakob Heinemann and Sophie Franke Heinemann, husband August J. Camara, daughter Birgit H. Landry and granddaughter Julia Roush Landry.
She is survived by son Wayne (Valerie) Camara of Kalaheo, daughter Brenda (Leonard) Carvalho of Lihue, four grandsons, three granddaughters, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of life will be held at a future date.
Mitsuko Watase
Mitsuko Watase, 95, of Kalaheo, passed away on Feb. 4, 2018, at her residence.
She was born on July 21, 1922, in Kalaheo.
Services were conducted privately. The family requests no koden (monetary gifts).
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
