LIHUE — Two Kauai County officials are scheduled to give a presentation on housing at this week’s meeting of the Lihue Business Association.
Ka‘aina Hull, deputy planning director, and Marie Williams, long-range planner, are slated to discuss, “Kauai Housing — Where and Why.”
“The Kauai County Council approved the General Plan update a few days ago, and the mayor is expected to sign it shortly,” reads a press release. “How is housing addressed in the plan? How was the analysis done to determine housing needs/locations? What is the current build-out rate? Where is the demand coming from?
The meeting is scheduled 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday at Duke’s Canoe Club. It is free and open to the public.
What are their names? Did they play football or baseball or basketball in high school? Not everyone agrees with the County government? They don’t understand what it means to be policy minded. It might be difficult to see it their way. Opinions are indifferent. The views of the people are also different. What if you have many different views? It might be a difficult situation.
