More than 200 senior citizens celebrated Valentine’s Day with a western-themed dance, including popular line dancing, when the County of Kauai Division of Parks and Recreation hosted its annual “Sending You Some Love” get-together at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center.
More than 200 senior citizens celebrated Valentine’s Day with a western-themed dance, including popular line dancing, when the County of Kauai Division of Parks and Recreation hosted its annual “Sending You Some Love” get-together at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center.
The normal venue, Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall, is closed due to construction, and the Parks and Recreation took advantage of the expansive lanai area at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center to host the event that featured the versatile music by Limited Edition, an Aloha Friday regular at the Kukui Grove Center,
With the help of the Pacific Missile Range Facility at Mana, the Interact Club of Waimea High School, and the staff and volunteers with the Parks and Recreation, kupuna enjoyed a special photo booth, lunch, and lots of love.
