Kiyoto Kinoshita
Kiyoto Kinoshita of Lihue, Kauai passed away at his home on Jan. 27, 2018, at the age of 99. He was born on Jan. 24, 1919, in Huleia, Kauai and worked for the Grove Farm Plantation as a carpenter and painter.
Preceded in death by his parents, Suekichi and Eino Kinoshita; brothers, Isoo, Suezo and Yoshio; sisters, Matsue “Alice” Anama, Misao “Miko” Ringor, Harue Nahinu; son-in-law, Sione S. Tuitupou.
Kiyoto is survived by his wife of 70 years, Eunice A. Kinoshita of Lihue, Kauai; sons, Harvey (Sandy) of Lihue, Wayne of Lihue; daughters, Donna Tuitupou, SLC Utah, JoAnne (George) Texeira of Hanamaulu, Iris Venzon of Lihue, Kay Dee (Talisiu) Huni of Lihue; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sunao “Nancy” Pescador, Tomie Kelekoma, Fujiko Yamamoto, Katherine Oyama; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel, Lihue Ward with viewing from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire suggested.

Herminia Agrade Aguinaldo
Herminia Agrade Aguinaldo of Kilauea passed away at home on Feb. 1, 2018, at the age of 65. She was born in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Oct. 31, 1952, and was employed as a Housekeeper with Hanalei Bay Resort.
Herminia is survived by her husband, Wilson Aguinaldo of Kilauea; son, Glendale Quitoriano of Philippines; daughters, Mila Fabros of Philippines, Rizza Santos of Kilauea; sisters, Teresita Mabini of Philippines, Irene Haley of Virginia, Estenelie Balalio of Philippines; brothers, Fernel Agrade and Gerardo Agrade of Philippines; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at St. Sylvester Church with viewing from 9 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kealia Cemetery.

Jay James Hurley Jr. passed away on Jan. 1, 2018. He was born on June 10, 1941.
He is preceded in death by father, Jay James Hurley Sr.; mother, Edna Telles Hurley; brother, Hugh Allen Hurley; wife, Arlene Gene Ah Heong Wong Hurley.
He is survived by sons, Sean S. Hurley, Jay J. Hurley III, James T. (Priscilla) Hurley, Jared S. (Corrina) Hurley; daughters, Carmel K. (Thomas) Hurley Cherith K. (Eliot) Reinhardt; brother, Paul S. Hurley; sisters, Wendy N. Hurley (Harry) Kaneakua Tamlyn N. Hurley (Steven) Kaui, 21 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 10 a.m. (9 to 9:45 a.m. family visit), Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4580 Ehiku St., Lihue, Casual Attire.
Preston Ikehara-Yasay
Preston Ikehara-Yasay, 25 years old of Kapaa, Kauai passed way on Feb. 2, 2018, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on May 26, 1992, in Kapiolani Hospital, Preston worked as a Bell/Valet at the Westin and Entertainer at the Luau Kalamaku at Kilohana.
He is preceded in death by his grandpa, Seio Ikehara and Mariano Rafanan; grandma, Dora Yasay.
He is survived by his fiancé, Malia Cremer of Kapaa; stepson, Scott Kimura of Kapaa; mother, Gwen Ikehara-Yasay of Kapaa; father, Gideon Yasay of Kapaa; brother, Kelson Yasay of Kapaa; grandmother, Stella Miyoshi of Kapaa; grandmother, Sachiko Ikehara of Kapaa, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at Kilohana/Gaylords Luau pavilion in Puhi from 9 to 10:15 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. casual attire

Douglas T. Pacheco, 57 years old, passed away at home on Dec. 30, 2017. Born on May 12, 1960, in Lihue, Kauai, Douglas worked with Harvey’s Flooring and also with the Army National Guard.
He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Pacheco, Jr.; mother, Shirley Lei Boro.
He is survived by is ex wife, Vanessa (Irvin) Ching; son, Brandon (Terry) Pacheco of Makaweli; daughters, Misty (Joshua) Tumbaga of Kapaa, Geraldine Bair of Kekaha; grandchildren, brother, Vernon (Katherine Adaog) Pacheco of Puhi; sisters, Rosalinda (Richard) Dougherty of Oregon, Melissa M. (Paul , Sr.) Pacheco of Omao, Dolores M. (Henry Rivera) Pacheco of Eleele, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Caroline Marie Rivera, 83 years old of Kalaheo, Kauai passed away on Feb. 5, 2018, at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home. Born on Aug. 30, 1934, in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was a retired Lead Cashier at Kauai Surf Hotel.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William (Rose Ornellas) Rivera, Sr.; brothers, Henry and Jerry Rivera.
She is survived by her husband, Alfonso Martin, Sr. of Kalaheo; daughter, Therilynn (Travis John) Martin-Haumea of Kalaheo; granddaughters, Destiny-Lynn (Justin Riley Louis) Martin of Kalaheo, Brooklynn Martin-Haumea of Kalaheo; grandson, Dylan Martin of Kalaheo; brother, William “Jr” (Josie) Rivera, Jr. of Eleele; sister, Mary Ann (Thomas, Sr.) Rodrigues, of Eleele; sister in laws, Alice Martin-Silva of California, Maria Janet (Jack) Randall of Oahu, Dolores Decosta of Eleele, numerous nieces, nephews, cosuins and friends.

Debbie Dominga Liberato, 77 years old of Koloa, Kauai passed away on Jan. 23, 2018, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on Dec. 20, 1940, in the Philippines, she was a retired from clerk from Koloa Big Save.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ponciano and Maximiniana Daligcon.
She is survived by her husband, Vivencio Liberato; daughter, Flora Jean Liberato; grandson, Tristen Bryce Silva; sisters, Victoria S. Daligcon, Leonora (Antonio) Arga; brothers, Gregorio (Virginia) Daligcon, Leoncio (Maria) Daligcon, 5 step children, 13 step grandchildren, numerous step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
