LIHUE — Candidate nomination and filing services are being offered at the Elections Division of the County Clerk located at 4386 Rice Street in Lihue.
The candidate filing period runs from Feb. 1 through June 5. Services are offered Monday thru Friday during the regular office hours of 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Prior to beginning the candidate nomination and filing process, prospective candidates are encouraged to visit the State Office of Elections’ webpage at www.elections.hawaii.gov to review updated information on the process.
The Election Division would also like to announce the upcoming election events:
Primary Election
Voter Registration Deadline: July 12, 2018
Early Voting Period: July 30 to Aug. 9, 2018
Absentee Ballot Application Deadline: Aug. 4, 2018
Election Day: Aug. 11, 2018
General Election
Voter Registration Deadline: Oct. 8, 2018
Early Voting Period: Oct. 23 to Nov. 3, 2018
Absentee Ballot Application Deadline: Oct. 30, 2018
Election Day: Nov. 6, 2018
Finally, please note that official election information will only be disseminated directly through the Elections Division of Office of the County Clerk, the State Office of Elections, or via the Public Information Officer of the County of Kauai.
