Elsie Tokuko Ishida
Elsie Tokuko Ishida, 81 years old of Kapaa, Kauai passed away on Jan. 24, 2018, at her home in Kapaa, Kauai. Born on Oct. 31, 1936, in Kauai, she was a retired Teacher with Kilauea Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ishida; brothers, Albert &Paul Fujii; granddaughter, Holly Oyama.
She is survived by her son, David (Ruby) Ishida of Kapaa; daughters, Doreen (Anthony) Koerte of Hanamaulu, Lynn (James) Oyama of Kapaa, Pamela (Edgar Castro) Ishida of Pearl City; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Grace Marumoto of Aiea, Mazie Fujinaka of Kapaa, Elaine (Ernest) Yamanoha; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Kapaa Hongwanji from 10 a.m. and services will be at 11 a.m.
Casual attire. Omit flowers.

Dr. Richard Walter Coller
Dr. Richard Walter Coller of Kapaa passed away on Dec. 23, 2017, at Garden Isle Health Care in Wilcox Hospital at the age of 92. He was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota in Ramsey County, on Aug. 29, 1925.
He served in the Army from 1943 to 1946, in the European and Pacific campaigns. He later went on to receive his PhD in Sociology in 1959, from the University of Minnesota. After teaching for 34 years, he retired from Kauai Community College in 1984.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Helen Coller; wife, Alicia Peruda Coller; son, Louis Coller; daughter, Margarite (Kent Kaui-deceased) Coller.
He is survived by his brother, Reverend Jerome Coller OSB; sister, Mary (Richard) Trisko; children, Ann (Kevin) Arnold, James Coller, Katherine (Perry) Alisna, Susan (Dennis) Akutagawa, William (Roxanne) Coller, Mark Coller, Claire Coller, Ruth (Mark) Forbes, Patrick (Yukimi) Coller; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Saint Catherine’s Church with viewing from 8:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery.

Gregorio C. Bunao
Gregorio C. Bunao, 57 years old of Kapaa, Kauai passed away on Jan. 4, 2018, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 4, 1960, in the Philippines.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fausto Bunao, Sr.; brother, Marcelino Bunao.
He is survived by his wife, Cresencia Bunao of Kapaa; son, Erickson (Janice) Bunao of Kapaa; daughter, Catherine (Darwin) Laguit of Kapaa; grandchildren, Kristelle, Kamille, Kian Laguit, Jazleen, Edrick Padamada-Bunao; brother, Leopoldo (Nellie) Bunao of Kapaa; sister, Annabel (Eldy) Ragasa of Kapaa; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at St. Catherine’s church from 8 to 9:45 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Catherine’s Church cemetery.

Raymond Kaipo Napoleon
Raymond Kaipo Napoleon, 66 Years old of Anahola, Kauai, passed away on Jan. 2, 2018, at Samuel Mahelona Hospital. Born on Dec. 6, 1951, in Lihue, Kauai, he was a retired Breakfast cook and also from the United State Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Napoleon and Molly Kiyabi; brother, Jason Napoleon; son, Raymond Napoleon.
He is survived by his wife, Lovelan “Lovey” N. Napoleon of Anahola; daughters, Jaclyn (Kalai) Kaina of Puhi, Tia Keiki Napoleon of Anahola; god-daughter, Rosanna Keale; grandchildren, Brooke, Kodie-Ray, Alexis, Eligahi, Naomi, Makakoa, Kehau, Kawai, Eli; sisters, Cathay (Nobu) Matsuyoshi of Hanamaulu, Starley (Jarrett) Medeiros of Wailua; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Anahola Beach Park Hawaiian Home Side from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. where celebration of life will be at 11:30 am.

Yoshiko Mariko Tamura
Yoshiko Mariko Tamura of Kilauea passed away on Jan. 19, 2018, at the age of 87. She was born in Hiroshima, Japan on June 27, 1930, and retired as a Japanese Tour Guide with Kauai Island Tours.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tadayoshi Tamura.
Yoshiko is survived by three sons, Tad Tamura of Oahu, Roy Tamura and Thomas Tamura of Kilauea.
Private services were held.

Violet C. Koerte
Violet C. Koerte of Hanamaulu passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Jan. 20, 2018, at the age of 91. She was born in Hanamaulu on May 3, 1926, and was a dedicated homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Koerte Sr.; son-in-law, Hanzs K. Martins; daughter-in-law, Linda Mae Koerte.
Violet is survived by sons, John (Judyann) Koerte Jr., Michael G. Koerte, Gerard W. (Avis) Koerte, Anthony M. (Doreen) Koerte; daughters, Bernadine K. Martins, Regina K. (Sidney) Ikehara; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; brother, Adam “Wally” (Carnation) Carvalho; numerous nieces and nephews.
Casual or Aloha attire is suggested, and the family graciously declines flowers.

Damon K. Yorkman
Damon K. Yorkman passed away on Jan. 15, 2018, at the age of 48 in Makati City in the Philippines. He was born on May 4, 1969, and was self-employed.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Craddock C. Yorkman and Ruth L. Yorkman; maternal grandparents, Alfredo “Pidong” Eclipse and Salvacion A. Eclipse.
He is survived by his sons, Kalen Bagano of Honolulu, Taurus Yorkman of Claremore, Oklahoma; daughter, Shylee Yorkman of Vinita, OK; parents, Gilroy M. Yorkman (Marilyn Yamaguchi)/Lillian Eclipse; sisters, Shay L. Yorkman of Lihue, Natasha Capay of Lihue; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 4587 Amakihi Rd, Kekaha. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. and services to follow.

Evangeline ‘Vangie’ R.L Evans Kaleiohi
Evangeline R.L Evans “Vangie” of Kalaheo, Kauai passed away on Nov. 25, 2017, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. She was born on Feb. 1, 1935, in Papa’a, Kaua’i.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ephraim and Evangeline Kaleiohi Sr.; brothers, Ephraim Jr “Moosey,” Samuel “Buff,” Abraham “Opu,” Edward “Eddie”, Robert, and Phillip; sisters, Winifred “Winnie” and Evelyn.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Sonny) Naylor, David Evans, John (Corina) Evans, Angela (Larry) Revilla, Dot (Tia) Evans; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grand children and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Services will be on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at the Lydgate South Comfort Station with visitation starting at 9 a.m. Services at 10 a.m. Spreading of ashes will be done at a later date.
George Shigeo Kojima
George Shigeo Kojima of Kapaa died at home on Jan. 26, 2018, at the age of 88. He was born on Kauai on Aug. 29, 1929, a veteran of the United States Army, he was the owner, president and butcher of Kojima Store. George was also an avid fisherman, diver and enjoyed reading and doing yard work.
Preceded in death by his wife, Harue Kojima; parents, Eiji and Okono Kojima; brothers, Harold and James Kojima; sister, Mollie Kojima.
George is survived by four children, Wanda Nagakura, Iris Kojima, Kevin Kojima, Sharon Kojima; grandchildren, Jeri Ann Nagakura, Timothy J. Nagakura, Jacqui (Cory) Neal; Fur grandchildren, Hoku and Mahina; siblings, Nancy S. Kojima, Mae Sakamoto, Lorraine Kotake; numerous nieces and nephews.
