Tree removal has its benefits
Tree removal has its benefits
I do appreciate that Holly Van Every is bothered by the noise of Green Energy (TGI, Nov. 19), though I am so happy that the albizia are coming down.
I am very allergic to the blooms, which last for over a month each year, and send up seeds that sprout in my garden, which I pull all year long.
This year they bloomed twice. This is not a mild allergy, it is a medical issue. I also understand that it is not green to send out the machines to cut and chip and then to burn.
Until we have a better storage system, for solar, we are the Garden Isle, and Omao does mean green, in Hawaii; which only comes from the rains.
Until then, I trust that our Coop is working to eventually solve the problems we now face with green energy. I do think it is better to do the trees than to import coal or natural gas.
