Kauai High closed early
A water line shutdown on Lala Road in Lihue led to the closure of Kauai High School for the rest of the day starting at 11:30 a.m. Monday.
The move was “a precaution and to ensure the health and safety of the students and staff,” according to a state Department of Education press release.
School will be back in session today.
