Kudos to American Medical Response (what’s with the Cody “Monstah” Bonilla name?) for volunteering at the Honolulu Marathon Hawaii High School Athletic Association state cross country races. Cody said they even got a golf cart from Sean Magoun to use in the event they had to retrieve runners from the field.
Dr. Bridget Collins was all over the place since daughter Hannah Collins-Doijode was part of the Kapaa girls cross country team, and then she was helping with the FIRST Tech Challenge tournament because son Madhav Collins-Doijode is on the Kapaa High School team. Charlene Steuri said FIRST Tech Challenge has a tournament Saturday (check it out after the Veterans Day parade!) at the Kukui Grove exhibition area, and who was that volunteer passing out candy across from Kaeley Yamamotoya and Sienna Agpaoa at Claire’s?
Kenny Ishii said he didn’t do the kalua pig for the Kauai Rugby Club fundraiser (they have a car wash coming up Nov. 11 at Kukui Grove), but came to enjoy a plate and catch some of the Greg Horn (does he work with Mark Tanaka at Kauai Realty?) action on the field.
OK, this is the week for the Veterans Day parade on Saturday. Stay tuned for the traffic advisories.
