LIHUE — First Hawaiian Bank announced Friday that their Aloha Relief for Harvey Fund has raised $53,627.
The bank established the Fund to assist the American Red Cross in their efforts to help the thousands of residents who were devastated by Hurricane Harvey on Aug. 25.
First Hawaiian Bank donated the first $25,000 to the Fund and its 62 branches located in Hawaii, Guam and Saipan, served as community donation collection points from August 31 through Sept. 30.
All contributions to the Aloha Relief for Harvey Fund were donated to the American National Red Cross to assist the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, according to an announcement made by Bob Harrison, First Hawaiian Bank chairman and chief executive officer.
A check was presented by First Hawaiian Bank Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer Derek Baughman and First Hawaiian Bank Foundation President Sharon Shiroma Brown to Coralie Matayoshi, chief executive officer, American Red Cross Pacific Island Region.
