PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Nick Robinson and Justin Watson hooked up on a pair of first-quarter touchdowns and Penn defeated Brown 17-7 on Saturday for its first Ivy League win this season.
The game was just 11 seconds old when Robinson passed to Watson open over the middle, The senior turned on the speed to race 80 yards untouched for a quick 7-0 lead after one play from scrimmage and the Penn (3-4, 1-3) career touchdown record.
Robinson threw a 20-yard strike to Watson in the end zone later in the opening quarter and the senior now holds the Penn record for career touchdown receptions with 29. He finished with 132 yards on eight catches and now has the Ivy League record with 17, 100-yard games. Brown’s caught at least one touchdown pass in every game this season.
Nick Saslow added a 51-yard field goal, Penn’s first at that distance since 1995.
Brown (2-5, 0-4) was held to 89 yards passing and 114 rushing.
