BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) — Irvin Riley ran for a 25-yard touchdown to give Jacksonville a 54-48 win over Campbell in triple overtime on Saturday.
Rylan Wells threw for 110 yards and a touchdown and ran for 73 yards and another score for the Dolphins (5-3, 3-2 Pioneer League). Keenan Simpson rushed for 108 yards and a score, Riley finished with 95 yards rushing and Prince Gray had 109 yards and a touchdown receiving.
Jacksonville trailed 31-17 late in the third but the Dolphins scored three times after that on touchdown runs by Pernell Rattray and Lamarr Washington and a field goal by Javier Arce-Ramirez to go ahead 34-31 with 7:27 to play in regulation. Campbell’s Mitchell Brown hit a 26-yard field goal with 2:29 left to tie it up 34-all and it held, forcing the first overtime.
Daniel Smith threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns for the Camels (5-4, 4-2).
