LIHUE — The Kauai Fatherhood Council and the County of Kauai invite men to attend the second Men’s Conference from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith’s Tropical Paradise in Wailua.
“After the success of last year’s conference, the Kauai Fatherhood Council and the County of Kauai saw an opportunity to provide additional encouragement to men and fathers in our community,” said Mayor Bernard P. Carvalho Jr. “We’ve received an overwhelming amount of support from key male leaders who are willing to share their manao, and we encourage all men and fathers to attend this conference.”
The conference is free and open to men age 18 and older, and fathers of any age. The purpose of the conference is to supply men with a tool kit of knowledge in which to support their relationships with their family and community.
“The goal of the Kauai Men’s Conference is to be inclusive and to provide a safe space for all men to gather together in an uplifting environment,” according to the Kauai Fatherhood Council.
The mission of the Kauai Fatherhood Council is to encourage male presence and male involvement in Kauai’s families and community.
