MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia will face Albany in a charity exhibition game to help the victims of recent hurricanes.
The men’s basketball game will take place the evening of Oct. 28 at the WVU Coliseum. All proceeds will benefit the hurricane relief efforts of the American Red Cross.
WVU’s athletics department says fans are encouraged to give a minimum donation of $5. WVU students with a valid student ID can enter with a minimum $1 donation.
The two schools join several others that have received NCAA waivers to play additional exhibition games to benefit hurricane relief efforts.
The exhibition replaces the Gold-Blue Debut previously scheduled for Oct. 27.
