LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts is lining up local county supporters for his re-election campaign.
The governor’s campaign announced support Monday from a coalition in Buffalo County that includes elected officials, business and community leaders and other residents.
The campaign has announced similar groups in Scotts Bluff and Hall counties. Earlier this month, Ricketts hosted an inaugural steak fry event at a farm near Shelton with the Republican governors of Kentucky, Missouri and Wisconsin.
Ricketts is up for election in the November 2018 general election. State Sen. Bob Krist, an independent from Omaha, is looking to challenge him.
